Sweet Orange Essential Oil 10mL
Most pressed citrus oils carry furocoumarins and come with sun-exposure limits attached. Sweet Orange is the exception: it contains so little that it is not considered phototoxic. That, plus a price that undercuts almost everything else in the range, makes it the citrus oil people actually use every day.

Sweet Orange is cold pressed from the fruit of Citrus sinensis, grown in New South Wales. Cold pressing means the oil is squeezed mechanically out of the peel rather than distilled with steam, which is why pressed citrus oils smell so immediately like the fruit itself. The aroma is sweet, fresh and unmistakably orange.
From bush to bottle
Citrus sinensis is grown across the Australian citrus belt, and Zea's comes from New South Wales. Orange oil is largely a by-product of the juice industry, which is part of why it is one of the most affordable oils on the shelf.
The oil sits in glands in the peel. Cold pressing ruptures those glands mechanically and the oil is separated from the juice and water without heat. Because no heat is involved, the aroma stays very close to the fresh fruit.
Nothing is added and nothing is rectified out. Every batch is GC/MS tested and carries a certificate of analysis.
Cold pressing brings across more than the volatile aroma compounds. It also carries furocoumarins, heavy non-volatile molecules that sit in the peel. Those are what make some pressed citrus oils photosensitising: on skin exposed to sunlight they can produce a genuine burn, which is why bergamot, lime, lemon and grapefruit all carry dilution limits for daytime skin use.
Sweet Orange contains so little furocoumarin that it is not classed as phototoxic. Nothing has been removed to achieve that; the fruit simply does not make much. It is the reason Sweet Orange is the pressed citrus oil that turns up in everyday blends, children's spaces and massage oils where the others need managing.
Quality and testing
Every batch is GC/MS tested and carries a certificate of analysis. The full constituent breakdown sits on the batch certificate rather than here, because the ranges shift with each season and harvest.
Zea's Sweet Orange comes from New South Wales, within Australia's main citrus belt. Orange oil is produced alongside juice rather than instead of it, which is unusual among essential oils and the reason it stays affordable without any compromise on purity.

A 100% pure essential oil, cold pressed from the peel of Citrus sinensis grown in New South Wales. It is GC/MS tested and carries a certificate of analysis.
Sweet, fresh and warm. Exactly like the fruit, because cold pressing uses no heat.
Start with 3 to 6 drops in a diffuser. For skin, dilute one or two drops in a carrier oil such as jojoba or sweet almond, and patch test first.
No. Phototoxicity in pressed citrus comes from furocoumarins in the peel, and sweet orange contains very little. Bergamot, lime, lemon and grapefruit are the ones that need care in the sun.
Orange oil is produced alongside juice rather than as a crop in its own right, so the raw material is abundant. Cheap here is a function of supply, not of quality or dilution.
No. Never apply an undiluted essential oil and never take one internally. Dilute in a carrier oil first, and patch test.
Yes. Every batch is GC/MS tested and carries a certificate of analysis, which is how the specifications on this page are established.
Keep it out of reach of children and never apply it undiluted. Diffuse in a ventilated room rather than a closed space. Check with your vet before diffusing around pets.
