Pelargonium graveolens var. roseum, steam-distilled from the leaves and stems of the rose geranium plant. Despite the name, it's not related to true roses.
How is it different from rose oil?
Rose Geranium offers a rose-floral aroma at a fraction of the cost of true rose oil (Rosa damascena). The chemistry is different, but the floral character is similar enough that many aromatherapists use them interchangeably.
What is it used for?
Skin-supporting blends, mood-balancing aromatherapy, and natural perfumery as a heart note.
