New 400g Jar · North-East Tasmania

One of the world's rarest honeys. Never run out.

Kunzea Honey is gathered just once a year, when the wild Kunzea ambigua blossoms in the remote north-east corner of Tasmania. For every five drums of common native honey, the bush gives us one drum of Kunzea. Set up your supply and the honey your family loves arrives before the jar runs dry.

The Honest Maths

How long does a jar actually last?

In a honey-loving home the jar comes out a couple of times a day. On toast in the morning, stirred into tea at night. That is around two teaspoons a day, and at that pace the maths is simple.

1 About 1 month

One 400g jar

Roughly four weeks of daily honey for the household. Perfect if it is just you, or you are trying Kunzea for the first time.

3 A full season

Three jars

Around three months of supply. One delivery a season and the pantry never runs dry. Our most popular way to buy.

6 Half the year

Six jars

About six months of honey at the best per-jar price. The pick for families, gift-givers and the properly honey-obsessed.

Rare By Nature

Honey you can't make more of

Most honey is farmed to demand. Kunzea Honey is the opposite: a wild harvest with a fixed window, taken with care and gone when it's gone.

Kunzea Honey from North-East Tasmania
  1. 01Wild, not farmed

Our bees forage freely on native Kunzea ambigua growing wild in the remote, pristine bushland of North-East Tasmania. No crops, no sprays, no shortcuts.

  2. 02One harvest a year

Kunzea blossoms for a short window each spring. The honey is ethically harvested once, and only once, leaving the hives strong for the season ahead.

  3. 03Five to one rare

For every five drums of other common native honeys, beekeepers can gather only one drum of Kunzea. When this year's harvest sells out, that is it until next spring.

  4. 04Raw from hive to jar

100% raw and single origin. Never blended with other honeys, nothing added, nothing taken away. Just the smooth, buttery sweetness the Kunzea flower gives it.

Questions, answered honestly

How does the subscription work?

Choose your pack and how often you would like it delivered (every 1, 2 or 3 months). You save 15% on every delivery, receive a free gift on your 3rd and 5th delivery, and you can skip a delivery, change your pack, pause or cancel anytime in the customer portal. No lock-ins, no cancellation fees.

How long will a 400g jar last me?

A household enjoying honey a couple of times a day (about two teaspoons) will get through a 400g jar in roughly a month. Three jars is about a season, six jars about half a year. If your family are big honey eaters, size up or shorten your delivery window.

My honey has crystallised. Is that normal?

Completely normal, and actually a sign your honey is raw. Real, unprocessed honey naturally crystallises over time. To return it to liquid gold, stand the jar in warm water and stir gently. Never microwave it, as high heat damages the delicate character of raw honey.

Why does it sell out every year?

Kunzea ambigua only blossoms for a short window each spring, and the honey is ethically harvested once a year. For every five drums of other native honeys, only one drum of Kunzea can be gathered. Once a season's harvest is sold, there is no more until the next spring. Subscribers are prioritised from each new harvest.

Where can you ship honey?

We ship Australia-wide except Western Australia, and we cannot ship honey to New Zealand. These are biosecurity rules that protect local bee populations, and as beekeepers' biggest fans we are glad they exist. Free shipping applies to Australian orders over $79.
