Bianca Marics, Head of Sales and Education at Zea

Head of Sales and Education

Bianca is a clinical naturopath with more than 20 years across health and wellness retail, education and clinical practice. At Zea she leads sales and education, which means she is the person behind how our products are explained: to pharmacists, to retail staff, to practitioners, and to the people who use them at home.

What Bianca does at Zea

Zea is stocked in more than 3,000 retail locations across Australia, including pharmacies, health food stores and supermarkets. In almost all of those, the person recommending a Kunzea product to a customer is not us. It is a pharmacy assistant or a health food store owner who needs to understand the product well enough to give good advice.

That is Bianca's job. She builds the training, writes the education, and works directly with the buyers and stockists who carry the range.

Retailer and practitioner education

Bianca built and runs the Zea Training and Education Platform: sixteen product training modules, technical sheets, reference guides and point of sale resources, so that stockists can talk about Kunzea Oil and the rest of the range accurately and confidently.

Stockist certification

She leads the Zea stockist certification programme, which takes retail staff through the range and tests their understanding before certifying them.

Buyer and wholesale relationships

Bianca manages Zea's relationships with major retail and pharmacy buyers, and is the first point of contact for businesses that want to stock the range.

Product development

She works on the Zea product range itself, bringing a clinician's view to what a formulation needs to do and how it should be positioned.

Her clinical background

Bianca holds a Bachelor of Health Science in Naturopathy and a Bachelor of Biomedical Science, and she is a member of the National Herbalists Association of Australia. Alongside her work at Zea she has spent more than 17 years in clinical practice, working with women on energy, gut health, hormones and nervous system regulation.

Evidence-based, honouring traditions.

That is how Bianca describes her own approach, and it is a useful description of how Zea thinks too. Natural does not mean unproven, and traditional use and clinical evidence are not in competition. It is the same standard behind Kunzea Pain Relief Cream being registered with the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods as a listed medicine (AUST L 360 331) rather than sold as a cosmetic.

She is also a certified life and stress coach, and much of her clinical work has focused on fatigue and burnout in people who are running businesses or leading teams. She continues to see clients through her own practice at biancamarics.com.
